PREREQUISITES: Foundations of Coaching Softball Part 1 AND Make Ethical Decisions (offered through Alberta Sport - multiple dates upcoming)
The day will have coaches attend a blend of modules in the classroom and technical coaching skills in the gym. Coaches will need to have a glove, shoes & clothing appropriate for physical activity in the gym, pen/pencil for classroom portion and it is strongly recommended coaches bring a lunch as there is not a ton of time during the break.
Coaches will be provided with a Softball Canada Rulebook and Community Softball Workbook at the clinic. The Community Softball Technical Manual will be emailed out as a PDF document. If you would like a printed copy of the book you will have to add that package to your checkout. The printed Technical Manual is an extra $10 + GST.
The Association will cover Half the cost of the NCCP Introductory Course, for those wanting to coach for the year within the Lethbridge Minor Softball Association. After the individual has been assigned a team, they will be reimbursed half the cost of the clinic at the end of the season.
