HEAT TEAMS
WELCOME TO THE HEAT TEAM PAGE
Our HEAT TEAMS are our tournament/travel/provincial team which is a development program for those Fastball athletes who are interested in a more competitive game experience and skill development. Travel teams will also have 3-4 weekends of game play as well as an opportunity to represent Zone 1 at provincials in early July.
Tryout information:
Cost: $TBD
The season for the provincial teams runs from Apr - mid July. Practices/games take place usually Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Calgary have combined to bring tournament play at a lower cost by each hosting a round robin exhibition style weekend where each team plays 4 games (2 sat, 2 sun). We call this SASS - Southern Alberta Softball Series. Teams at these tournaments are C/D level.
*U11 is a starting point to learn more about competitive softball and is designed as a fun way to be introduced into softball competition. There are no walks and the game is designed to get the ball into play. It is for beginner skill levels and we encourage everyone who is interested in learning more and having fun while doing it to come on out!
